Hi. My name is Joanne. I have just joined the group. Can you help as I am not sure what the process is. I am new to this. We have purchased a Ford Mustang 2013 GT for the engine and transmission. For my 50th Birthday my husband promised we would build an AC Cobra kit car together so this will be the donor engine. There are many parts that I have stripped from the car which are in perfect working order that we do not require. I am therefore looking for a a place to show these parts for sale. We are based in Belgium so ideally looking to sell within Europe. Is this a possible place for me with this age of car? If not I would welcome your help pointing me in the right direction. Thanks again. Joanne

Hi Joanne
Your other post in the correct section

Please update the same post, so everything stays togeather.
Did you check legislation in Belgium about building a kit-car ?
Make sure you document everything with invoices and photos, to avoid problems

Hi
Thank you for your reply.
We will not start building the kit car until we move back to Portugal next summer, space is an issue here. Thank you, I know legislation is very challenging and will be in Portugal to. Good tip regarding invoices and photos.
So do I need to move one of the posts?
Thanks
Joanne

Just to reassure everyone the Mustang we are using as a donor was no longer road worthy! We had a busy weekend pulling the engine out of the mustang! Luckily my husband's friend was over from the UK as 3 pairs of hands and strength were invaluable! It was quite a beast to get out. We didn't have enough height on the car to drop the engine out below, so had to pull it out the front. We had to cut the front out of the mustang as the hoist didn't have enough height to get over it. The cats proved a bit problematic but once we managed to free the manifolds there was a lot of jiggling and brute force then it was free! I now need work out what are the key components to keep for my new kit COBRA.

Ooow, waaaw, what a project.
Once finished, if you ever get the car to Belgium, keep us posted (there are quite a bit of people here from Belgium, as well as from the Netherlands)
I would be curious to see the finished beast.
Good luck.

Will do
Thanks.
Had a busy day today. We got the car up on axle stands, removed the wheels and rear brakes. Dropped the roll bar and have drained the differential ready to drop the whole rear axle tomorrow. As it was a cabriolet, it had extra supporting struts so we had to cut those out to give us enough space.
Fingers crossed the bolts come free as easy tomorrow
